Eduardo Zanchi is a Latin GRAMMY-nominated guitarist and songwriter. Born in Brazil in 1989, Eduardo started his musical journey in 1999 at the age of 9. He took his first lessons with a private teacher and quickly progressed to playing in his local church at just 10 years old. By the age of 11, he started studying classical guitar and music theory at a local conservatory.
Two years later, Eduardo transitioned to electric guitar and earned a scholarship at the “Universidade Livre de Música Tom Jobim” (ULM), a prestigious music conservatory in São Paulo, where he graduated five years later. Under the mentorship of notable musicians such as Olmir Stocker and Jonas Sat'anna, Eduardo expanded his musical horizons by exploring genres like blues, jazz, funk, fusion, and brazilian music. While attending ULM, he simultaneously took private lessons with renowned rock guitarist Joe Moghrabi.
Eduardo's professional career began to develop at a young age. He started teaching private lessons at home during his teenage years. By the age of 16, he had joined a music school as a music theory teacher and guitar instructor. Around the same age, he began performing paid gigs and later participating in studio recordings, eventually sharing the stage with well-established musicians in Brazil. He was also mentioned as a talented young up-and-coming artist on “Guitar Player Brasil” Magazine.
Throughout his career, Eduardo has balanced his passion for performance with a dedication to music education. The album garnered significant recognition, earning a nomination for the 17th Latin GRAMMY Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2017. That same year, "A Vida Num Segundo" received multiple nominations for a brazilian music award named “Troféu Louvemos”, including “Band of the Year”, “Rock Album of the Year”, and “Artist of the Year”.
